Few-Shot Prompting

Few-shot prompting means showing the model three to five examples of input and desired output so it mimics the pattern rather than following abstract rules. The book calls it the most reliable prompting technique in production. Examples define both format and judgment: lenient examples produce lenient classifications, strict ones produce strict ones. Production system prompts often carry ten or more example conversations for this reason.
