Bounded Autonomy

Bounded autonomy assigns each action a risk tier that decides how much the agent may do alone. Low-risk actions such as answering questions or drafting run autonomously. Medium-risk actions such as sending email or updating records are drafted by the agent and approved by a human. High-risk actions such as payments, deletions, or contract changes require explicit approval with no confidence-based shortcuts. Calibrate the tiers to your industry.
