MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Model Context Protocol is Anthropic's open standard for connecting AI models to tools and data sources, the USB-C for AI. An MCP server wraps a tool or data source and exposes what it offers, its parameters, and its returns; an MCP client discovers those tools, presents them to the model, and routes calls. Build one server and any compatible client, Claude, Cursor, or your own agent, can use it.
